Il Nido dello Svasso respects nature
Nature is important so we must learn to respect it: here are some examples about how our family cooperates for the respect of our environment.
1. ENERGY
We have planned our house to maximise exploiting the Sun light; walls, windows and the roof is thermo-insulated; we use low-consumption light bulbs; we have a timer on the stair lights and we use a AA class washing machine always full loaded; we ask our guest to use towels sparingly to avoid unnecessary washing.
2. WASTE
We recycle waste (paper, glass, aluminium, plastic, batteries); food and garden waste are processed and reused.
3. WATER
We have reduced water consumption by installing taps and drains with adjustable water flow; showers instead of a bathtub; we invite our guests not to waste water.
4. GASTRONOMY
We promote the food of our area and the recipes made with local typical products.

5. TRANSPORTS
We promote public collective transport with bus, trains, boats timetable information; we offer a free shuttle service to and from the Colico railway station and Domaso or Colico boat stops.
6. LIGHT MOBILITY
We promote the use of foot-paths and cycle routes; we lend bikes to our guests including accessories to carry children on the bicycles.
7. NOISE
Our house in acoustically insulated; we invite our guests to minimize noise, especially at night.
8. NATURAL AND CULTURAL HERITAGE
We give our guests suggestions about alternative routes on foot, by bike, by boat or using train + bike or boat + bike; we give free info material about local monuments and natural and cultural heritage in our area.
9. COMMUNICATION
We invite our guests to respect the environment.
